What do my staff have to learn?
A door page: tonight’s bookings, a check-in button, headcount you can edit at the rope. That’s the whole training programme.
Can I still comp tables and hold tables back for walk-ins?
Yes. A held table simply is not on the platform, so there is nothing for a guest to read into. Comps carry what, how much, and who authorised them, with role limits.
Do I set my own prices?
Yes. Minimums per tier, per night, are yours. The console will show you elasticity and unmet demand. What you do with it is your call.
What happens to my PRs?
They keep selling and keep earning. Tracked links, attribution written once at booking, commission calculated rather than remembered, credit landing on arrival. They propose; you approve.
Do I pay if a guest doesn’t show up?
The deposit is collected up front, so a table that never arrives has already paid for part of itself. Your cancellation policy governs what the guest gets back.
What exactly is your percentage charged on?
The committed minimum, not a guess at what a table actually spends, and never on numbers you self-report.
Does this replace my POS?
No. Strobe takes the deposit and the pre-paid table; your fiscal register closes the bill exactly as it does today.
Who owns my guest data, and can I market to them?
You are the data controller for your own guests’ booking records. Marketing to them needs their separate opt-in, and the console shows you the gap rather than hiding it.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. You pick the datasets, you see how many rows each one holds before you generate it, and it is yours. Whenever you ask, including on the way out.
What if I want to leave?
Standard term and notice, and your data leaves with you.
What happens if it goes down on a Saturday night?
The door page and the order queue both tell you when they have lost the connection, with the time they last synced, so nobody works from a screen that stopped updating twenty minutes ago. Your door does not depend on us: the list is your list, and a venue that has run a door for years can run one for a night.
Will you show my prices to other venues, or sell my inventory to a channel I don’t work with?
Never without your agreement. Your prices, inventory and performance data are never shown to another venue or to an unapproved channel.
