How does splitting work, and what if someone doesn’t pay?

The organiser picks the table and invites the group. Everyone gets their own link with their own amount. Shares are even, with the odd remainder on the organiser. Each person pays separately, no account needed. If someone drops out, their share reopens and the deadline extends once. If the pool doesn’t complete by the deadline, every paid share is refunded in full automatically and the table goes back on sale.

What is a minimum spend, exactly?

A table (a tavolo) is sold against a commitment to spend at least a set amount on bottles and drinks at that table. On Strobe, that minimum is a cart, not a floor: you choose what the table is getting at checkout, and the total has to clear the minimum.

Do I need to install an app?

No. The whole flow (see the room, pick the table, build it, invite, split, pay) works in a browser. Paying a share needs nothing but the link.

What happens if I need to cancel?

The venue’s cancellation policy governs, and it’s shown to you before you pay. Read it there. Cancellation terms are the venue’s own; Strobe enforces whatever was published at the time you booked.

Can I get a refund?

If your group’s pool doesn’t complete, every paid share is refunded in full automatically. Otherwise, the venue’s published cancellation policy applies. Note that under EU consumer law, services tied to a specific date (leisure activities on a particular night) fall outside the standard 14-day withdrawal right. That is the law rather than a Strobe policy, and it applies however you book the table.

Does Strobe sell entry tickets?

No. Strobe does not issue titoli di accesso (admission titles) and does not operate a ticketing emission system. A tavolo is a reserved place conditioned on a minimum consumption commitment, not a right of admission. Where a venue also sells entry, that’s handled by the venue’s own provider.

Can I pay later or in instalments?

No, never. Strobe offers no credit and no pay-later products. A deposit holds the table, the split means nobody has to front the group, and the balance settles at the venue on the night.

Who actually takes the payment?

Stripe. Your card details never reach Strobe. The venue is the seller for what it sells and its own till still closes the bill on the night: Strobe takes the deposit and nothing else.

What can the venue see about me?

Today: your name, your booking, who is on your table, and whether you arrived. That is the whole list. The reputation band described elsewhere on this site is planned and not yet built; when it exists it will be a band and never raw spend history, and never another venue’s data.

How do I delete my account?

From your account settings, or by writing to us. Records that must be kept for fiscal or safety reasons are anonymised rather than kept, and we tell you that at the moment you ask.
